From March 31 to November 31 2009, Caltrans is detouring night-time truck traffic from I-80 onto rural SR 20 and 49, through Grass Valley and Nevada City. As a result, these communities are left to deal with huge economic, health, and quality-of-life impacts. Why were these towns left out of the decision?

We believe there are alternatives to this detour that still provide for interstate commerce and worker safety!
